RESNET Field Inspector
This class teaches the concepts necessary to
become a certified RESNET Field Inspector. The
class is a 5-day program, meeting the standards
for training and certification to test for the HERS
Field Inspector as adopted by RESNET.
The online HERS Field Inspector exam, RESNET CAZ
exam and the RESNET CAZ simulation exam iwill be
given on the last day of class. These exams are
included in the registration fee. Class instruction will
address how how to evaluate the energy performance
and comfort issues of the home as a working system.
We train you on how to setup and operate both the Blower Door
and the Duct Leakage Test using a hands-on approach in order to familarize
you with the testing equipment.
Professional concepts that you will learn:
A basic understanding of building science principles and home construction
A basic understanding of the principles of heat, air and moisture transfer
Ability to diagnose air leakage, to perform field inspections and diagnostics using
the blower door and duct leakage testing equipment and an Understanding of the
services and responsibilities of a HERS Field Inspector
Upon successful passing of the national online HERS Field Inspectors exam and with the
completion/review of five ratings, you will be certified as a HERS Field Inspector by a
HERS Provider (additional requirements maybe required by the Provider). You will access
all course material online. Class Fee: $2350.00 *Course includes Version 3 Training
